Surrounded by countryside, Coulsdon is a beautiful town within the London Borough of Croydon.
Coulsdon’s main high street has recently been regenerated and now houses many restaurants, cafes and shops. Famous for its wide and long pavements, and its indoor cafe culture, from which it has become a tradition for many to enjoy the acclaimed London to Brighton rallies. Old Coulsdon has a smaller parade of shops but is home to some fantastic country pubs.
Home to the stunning Farthing Downs and Coulsdon Manor Golf Club, it’s a great place to enjoy the outdoors. Old Coulsdon also has a recreation ground and cricket pitch-focused village green. If you are a keen rambler, you will enjoy the many walks you could take in its various parks and woodlands. Although surrounded by countryside, commuters can reach the city from Coulsdon South and Cousldon Town mainline train stations in just half an hour. With easy access to the M25 and M23, you also won’t be far from Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
The local area also boasts a good variety of schools – Chipstead Primary School, St Aidan’s RC Primary School, Coulsdon C of E Primary School, Oasis Academy Secondary and Woodcote High School.
