Tucked away from passing traffic and presented in excellent order, a two bedroom coach house within an easy stroll to the popular village of Cuckfield. Excellent entertaining space, two large bedrooms and carport, this is one not to miss.
DESCRIPTION There is a theme for many buyers and sellers when considering Cuckfield. Finding a home that is big enough to accommodate a growing family, within budget and within the village is a challenge. Meadow View is a development built by Bellway, one of the UK’s most regarded house builders in 2012 and 18 Woodbine Close is one of Coach houses located off Brick Lane. Our clients took residence in 2016 and therefore any buyer would benefit from the remainder of the NHBC warranty. Presented in excellent order, this cleverly designed two bedroom coach house.
As you enter the apartment it becomes evident straight away the amount of space a buyer can get with this home (950 sq ft). The wide entrance hall has a storage cupboard and downstairs w/c with ample space for shoes and coats. Off the hallway is the study area perfect for working from home in peace and quiet.
We particularly like the sitting room, which benefits from a double aspect with lots of natural light and peaceful woodland views to the back. The turning staircase which leads from the ground to the first floor opens into the sitting room and works really well, with ample space for a large sofa and a dining table. The kitchen has dark work surface prep space and plenty of storage, as well as a built-in oven and hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer and full height fridge freezer. Both bedrooms work well, the master bedroom is spacious with space for a triple wardrobe and has a superb en suite shower room. The second bedroom is also a great size with built in double wardrobes. The stylish bathroom is in keeping with the modern interior throughout. Outside is a perfectly easily maintainable garden space, we think this would be a great place to entertain friends in the summer months, the garden also has a side access gate. There is also an allocated parking spot in the carport and visitors parking at the rear.
LOCATION The sought after village of Cuckfield is located in a superb central position, just to the East of the A23 linking Brighton and the M25. The village boasts an array of independent shops coupled with a thriving community. Our favourite places to eat are at The Wheatsheaf Inn, The Talbot and The Rose & Crown – the tasting menu at The Rose & Crown is superb. The Wheatsheaf is the closest to the property boasting wholesome pub food and a well-regarded quiz night on a Tuesday! The Talbot has been renovated in the last couple of years and boasts and impressive function room and is also the location for the monthly local food market. For a more special occasion, you could try the Michelin starred Ockenden Manor & Spa which is in the heart of the village. For schools, there is Holy Trinity Primary School and Warden Park Secondary School, both rated as good in their most recent Ofsted report. For even younger children, there are plenty of classes at the Old School and Queens Hall. A short drive or a brisk walk takes you to Haywards Heath with its own range of shopping facilities including a Waitrose. Haywards Heath is a major stop on the London to Brighton Line. Both London Bridge and London Victoria can be reached in under 50 minutes. Gatwick Airport is within 15 miles and the M25 a little further along the M23.
