Cosy Winter Pubs With Move Revolution

As we hunker down for the winter and hide away from the arctic temperatures outside, what better place to take refuge then the pub! Cosy up by the fire with a mulled wine and a mince pie….

We thought we would share some of our favourite pubs around Sussex and Surrey. Loved by some of our Move Revolution team for you to check out for yourself, whether you live in the area or are simply passing by.

The Starr Inn, Lingfield

Pop by this lovely country pub in the village of Lingfield on a Thursday for quiz night or Sunday for a traditional roast. If you can, grab a seat by their big log burner, or if you are feeling brave, the outside bar has a big decking area with outside seating and outdoor heaters.

The Station Pub, South Nutfield

This lovely village pub is dog-friendly, situated in South Nutfield, Redhill -with a menu incorporating dishes from both Asian and British cuisine. There are many different areas to enjoy your meal including the outdoor patio if you can brave the cold or, inside with warm lighting & comfy seating!

“I highly recommend The Station pub, set in the heart South Nutfield, just down the road from our Move Revolution HQ.  This wonderful local pub is so cosy in the winter, with a delicious menu and fantastic service it’s the perfect pub for a Sunday Roast after a long country walk. “

The Harrow, Warlingham

Dating back as far as the 18th Century, The Harrow began its life as a manor known as Aynescombes. In the late 18th Century the building received its license, becoming The Harrow Inn, and nearly a century later a single storey extension was added, making it the building that is so regularly frequented today. Inside, it has been beautifully refurbished, with stunning interiors and period features, as well as a great spot for dinner with friends or a drink by the open fire.

The Red Deer, Horsham

Located in the heart of the market town of Horsham, The Red Deer is a beautiful pub and brasserie with some impressive interiors. High ceilings, stunning decor and a pretty patio garden with heaters so that you can enjoy it all year round. The perfect spot for fantastic seasonal home cooked dishes.

“I love the interiors of this pub, it’s got great atmosphere but can also be cosy and intimate”

The Stand Up Inn, Lindfield

The Stand Up is an olde worlde pub, filled with paraphernalia, original wooden beams and an open fireplace, in the heart of the picturesque village of Lindfield. Serving authentic Thai food, alongside a fabulous selection of local ales, it’s a great spot to check out.

Woodman, Banstead

The Woodman is located in the picturesque village of Woodmansterne, just outside of Banstead. With the village cricket pitch opposite and a large garden and kids’ playground to the rear, pubs don’t get much better than this. They always have something going on – from weekly quiz night to monthly karaoke and live music throughout the year.

“I’ve recently been recommended to this pub and can’t wait to try it out, friends have told me the food is delicious and wonderful local walks around Banstead this is top of my list to visit in the new year.”
