If you enjoy the hustle and bustle paired with glorious walks in the countryside, a riverside stroll, an array of places to enjoy different cuisines, from a leisurely lunch to a browse around a department store, then Horley has it all to offer.
Horley has a lot more to offer than first meets the eye. Although otherwise known as the gateway to Gatwick Airport with its perfect positioning and easy access, not to mention bursting with its endless choice of various hotels and b&bs for holiday goers and commuters alike. The towns friendly and lively vibe is apparent as you stroll down the high street and visit the parade of local shops with the flagship store for Collingwood and Batchelor, known for its wonderful variety of homewares, gifts and furniture, as well as Waitrose and Lidl for your weekly shop. We highly recommend popping into Serendipity for a cappuccino, or if you are looking for a leisurely lunch, we recommend Zeno Italian.
Can we tempt you to a walk along the river? The river mole runs through Horley and looks especially beautiful at this time of year. Horley is surrounded by beautiful, lush green countryside, as you can imagine there are countless walks along the river and local meadows, one our favourites also takes you along St Bartholomew’s, a delightful Grade I listed church in the Parish of Horley, where you will definitely be taking lots of photographs!
Langshott Manor is the perfect place to visit for a wonderful afternoon tea, with stunning gardens and exceptional service we highly recommend a visit to this beautiful small hotel, part of the Alexander Hotel Group collection.
