Take a ride on the West Hill Lift to experience a piece of history. Since 1891, the lift has preserved its original wooden Victorian coaches and still runs through a tunnel. Enjoy the unique charm of the lift’s lower station, located in the traffic-free George Street, which features a range of independent cafes, art shops, and bookstores. The lift also offers stunning panoramic views of the town, stretching all the way to Beachy Head in the west and across the English Channel towards Hastings Castle where you could explore after.
